Adut Akech Is The Cover Star For Elle Magazine’s August Issue

South Sudanese-Australian supermodel, Adut Akech is the cover star for for Elle magazine’s August 2021 issue.

Adut Akesh donned a purple-and-green dress for the cover, she additionally wore a pair of thigh-high Prada boots. Another featured the model in a floor-length fur coat and little else: the same Prada boots, lingerie from Agent Provocateur and Araks and a pair of leather gloves.

The recent Estée Lauder global brand ambassador, had an interview via Zoom with Elle Magazine.

The talented model who has worked with top brands over the years like Chanel, Valentino, Givenchy, and Prada, dived into her journey from her conception, living as a refugee with her mother in the early years of her life, the struggle, how she never envisioned this level of success for herself and more.

Speaking on bullying and racism at a young age after migrating to Australia with her mom from Sudan, Adut says:

It was the first time I was in a space with people who didn’t look like me, people who weren’t used to seeing people like myself,” she explains. “From a young age, I just told myself that I needed to grow a tougher skin to avoid all this outside noise, but also to accept that this is who I am. This is how God made me, and that’s not going to change anytime soon, or ever, to be honest.”

Being a woman of color and how her skin has been celebrated all over the globe in recent years, the 21-year-old model says she is creating a world in which people like herself won’t have to question their worth.

“I do this for my little sisters. I do it for little Black girls all around the world. I do it for refugees. I do it for people who are not seen and not heard,” she says. “That’s my responsibility.”

Adut Akech is ready to move further in her career as the world begins to reopen.

“When things start to get better,” she says, “I’m going for it.”

Mercy Eke And Christiana Kayode Twinning Fashion Moment— Matching Shoes

In the fashion scene, wearing same outfit as someone else is just a fact of life- from clothes to various accessories. And definitely even famous people embrace a little wardrobe switching every now and then, with Mercy Eke and Christiana Kayode recently twinning, wearing the exact same shoes.

In Mercy Eke’s Instagram post, captioned “Protect Your Enegy🌹”, the reality star poses for a series of photos. In the pictures, she’s donning a button up white jumpsuit which is above her knees, consisting of a white belt to match, her bone straight from Lucious Virgin Hair perfectly styled.

Unlike Christiana Kayode, who opted for an entirely different dress from Payporte to suit her shoes. She wore a mini white gown, with blazers and bag to match. Her hair in long curls. Captioning the photos she wrote, “Lights, Camera, Action…Living my life like it’s a movie 🎥 🥰🥰🥰”

As for accessories, the close-up snaps show these fashionistas rocking earrings, bangles and a watch.

Subtle yet, speaks volume. Oh, how we love a head-to-toe stylish lewk.

It kind of goes without saying, but I am going to say it anyway, Mercy and Christiana look absolutely fierce in these outfits. Also, their neutral-toned manicure looks mega fresh.

The shoes which came in same color- yellow, fit their legs perfectly. As they both tie the ropes on their ankle which without a doubt is ideal.

Now, if you think the shoes look familiar, you’re not wrong. In fact, you’re very right.

One of our favourite things about celeb outfit twinning is seeing how different folks put their own personal style spin onto the same item.
