Lagos State To Vaccinate 1.5million Dogs Against Rabies For Free

Lagos state has disclosed that about 1.5 million dogs will be vaccinated against rabies for free within the next two weeks, an anti rabies campaign embarked upon to prevent deaths of animals in the State.

The vaccination will prevent the dogs from acquiring rabies disease from wildlife or infected animals/dogs, and consequently turn away conceivable transmission to people or different animals.

It was announced today, February 17, 2021, by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya at the flag-off of the vaccination campaign held at the palace of Oba Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

Ms. Olusanya stated that in order for the vaccination campaign to  be effective, it would be held year-in year-out for the next three years.

She likewise encouraged everyone, corporate organisations and communities to team up with the government toward responsible dog ownership to control the strain of animals with rabies in the environment.

The venues for the vaccination include the Veterinary Clinic, Odogunyan, Ikorodu; Veterinary Center , Epe Local Government Compound, Orita Marun Epe;  Veterinary Clinic, Ajah and the Veterinary Clinic, Benson Street, Surulere.
Others are ; Veterinary Clinic at Aiyedoto Farms Settlement, Agric Road, Ojo; Veterinary Clinic on Beach Road, Badagry and the Animal Hospital, Oko Oba, Agege.

Northern Food Dealers Made U-turn Decision On Food Supply To the South

Following the decision of the food dealers from the north to stop food supplies to the southern part of the country, the association guiding the activities of the body has reverse Their decision.

The leadership of Cattle and Foodstuff dealers under the aegis of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN) has agreed to end the blockade of supplies to the south.

They reached the agreement at an ongoing meeting with some governors in Abuja on Wednesday.

Abdullahi Tom, a youth leader of the cattle dealers in Lagos, told journalist Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is among the leaders who appealed to them to end the industrial action.

She is perceived as a top essential consideration specialist in Maryland and past and is highlighted as a clinical master on specialists’ meetings on CNN, FOX News, CNBC, and the sky is the limit from there.
